Lets go Murphys!
We popped up to Vancouver to watch the Dropkick Murphys play at the Commodore Ballroom. Great gig and amazing venue (I wish Wellington had a venue like this for mid-sized crowds). They didn't play all their best songs - they did play this though:

The city of subdued excitement
Bellingham is the greatest little city in the world (sorry, Wellington- we love you, but Bham is where it's at). So many beautiful people, restaurants, parks, beaches, bars, kitties, babies, and new beach houses with docks. I can't believe my friends are having babies- especially such outrageously cute ones! Big ups to Holly and Boz for being such awesome hosts in their amazing new house. Love you all!

Seahawks
While in Seattle, Kellie's Dad gave us his season tickets to the Seahawks v Broncos game. This was a much hyped replay of last year's Superbowl. The crowd was unbelievably loud- last year the crowd set the Guinness record for nosiest stadium. Most of the noise happens on defense so the opposing team can't hear themselves think. Seahawks won in overtime, boom! Thanks Tom!

Road trip around the Olympic Peninsula
Managed to get in a cheeky surf with old matey Josh Crowley and the lovely Michelle. This is a break called "the Pier" in Westport, WA. Josh and Michelle came down from the Yukon for a road trip around the Olympic Peninsula - Western Washington.
Lots of waves and few people on this coastline. There are also two big hydro dams that are being removed to bring back the natural river systems in Olympic National Park.

Portlandia!
We had an awesome time in the bridge city with our favorite hosts Addie, Tyler, Pablo and Angelus. Spent one evening watching 50,000 swifts funnel into a chimney at an elementary school (left pic), and spent another night letting out some karaoke demons. Much love to you two, can't wait to host you guys at our place next time!
